Marina Olympios seeks to explore the energy of the cosmos and the the pure flow of life on the canvas. In this video, the artist takes us through the process of using mineral colours to create her abstract paintings and explains why gathering the paint from the rich geological soils of Cyprus is a primitive act. Shades of terra verde and azurites, rich sienna, ochres and chalcanthites highlight a sense of respect towards the materials themselves and highlight the need to return to a "lost paradise".
